The Bengals kept it disciplined and banked a B.

There is conviction, and then there is this. The Bengals took Hayden Hatten a full 47 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. The bottom line is a respectable B.

They will regret leaving linebacker for another day if the season turns on it. Landing Haynes that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
