Hard to follow the map here. The Bengals bypassed cornerback and interior defensive lineman to take Kris Abrams-Draine at the 81st overall pick, a spot they had covered.

Sheppard at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it.

Job largely done: tight end settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Good work on the whole, with cornerback the one box left unchecked.
