Larceny in No. 237 lands the Bengals a B, Pearsall and all.

Somebody in Round 7, Pick 17 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Bengals sat still while Ricky Pearsall, the No. 200 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

For all the activity, linebacker went untouched, which is hard to explain. Every board in the league had Stover lower, and that gap is the story. Job largely done: cornerback settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
