The Bengals spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Bru McCoy, the No. 187 name on the board, in the Round 7 slot. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

The cost of the McGlothern reach is exactly the players who went right after him. They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
