There is reaching, and then there is Nelson Ceaser at the Round 3 slot. The Bengals jumped the board by 80 and dared it to prove them wrong. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

Landing Powers-Johnson that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Job largely done: cornerback settled and 7 of 8 of the wish list covered. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
