Echoles should have been long gone. The Bengals pounced, and earned a A-. The real work happened on the phones. The Bengals fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with. One of the weekend's best, top to bottom, and a A- to show for it.
On value alone, Echoles makes the weekend a net positive. Reaching for Prongos left real value on the table behind him.
The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own. Interior defensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Add it up and this is about as clean as a draft weekend gets.
