Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Bengals came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close.

The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. On value alone, Baker makes the weekend a net positive.

They will need Allen to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
