Simon should have been long gone. The Bengals pounced, and earned a B-.

This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Cody Simon, the No. 121 name on the board, stolen at Round 6, Pick 16. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

They are betting Scott proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The wide receiver hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

They chose more darts over a bigger single swing.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
