Maye is the Bears' new face under center. Grade: C.

After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Bears committed. Drake Maye is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. It washes out to a C, no better and no worse.

Watson has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere.

The Amegadjie value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

If Drake Maye and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
