Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall B
ValueA NeedB TradesC- FutureB-
The Ravens robbed the room for Gould. Final grade: B.

You build a draft on nights like this. Anthony Gould had no business being available in the 250th overall pick, and the Ravens did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

If Owens pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Rome Odunze
In No. 30 they get a matchup problem out wide at a price that makes it sweeter. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick33 Rnd2 Olumuyiwa Fashanu
A top-tier offensive lineman at a bargain, Olumuyiwa Fashanu in the Round 2 slot, plain and simple. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick39 Rnd2 Jared Verse
The board fumbled Jared Verse all the way to Round 2, Pick 7, and they scooped it up. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick62 Rnd2 T.J. Tampa
T.J. Tampa slipping to pick No. 62 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick88 Rnd3 Cade Stover
Cade Stover in slot 88 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick130 Rnd4 Zak Zinter
Zak Zinter at pick 130 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick165 Rnd5 Isaiah Davis
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Isaiah Davis at the 165th overall pick is the proof. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick218 Rnd6 Michael Barrett
They paid up for Michael Barrett at the 218th pick when waiting would have done the job. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick228 Rnd7 Tyler Owens
A wild overpay on Tyler Owens in the 228th pick, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick250 Rnd7 Anthony Gould
Anthony Gould in the Round 7 slot is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
