The Buccaneers treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending Round 6, Pick 45 on Omar Brown a full 65 spots early. The warnings were there, and the F is the bill.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. Getting McCaffrey where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.

Bottom line, it will take a lot of luck to make this look better later.
