Andras DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall
B
ValueB+

TradesB-
FutureB-
The Seahawks cashed the board's mistake on Milroe: B. You build a draft on nights like this. Jalen Milroe had no business being available in pick 137, and the Seahawks did the only sane thing and turned in the card. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
They will need Parr to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick Analysis
Pick18
Rnd1
Matthew Golden
Matthew Golden at slot 18 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the wide receiver. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick50
Rnd2
Nick Emmanwori
Circle this one: Nick Emmanwori at the 50th pick is a fall that decides a draft. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick52
Rnd2
Kaleb Johnson
The board had Kaleb Johnson higher than pick 52, and the running back fell to them anyway. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick82
Rnd3
Elijah Arroyo
Elijah Arroyo in No. 82 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick92
Rnd3
Barrett Carter
Barrett Carter slipping to pick No. 92 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick137
Rnd4
Jalen Milroe
Taking Jalen Milroe in Round 4, Pick 35 is close to grand larceny; a quarterback that good had no business lasting this long. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick172
Rnd5
Dorian Strong
A clean, defensible pick in the 172nd overall pick with a little surplus value in Dorian Strong. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick175
Rnd5
Ajani Cornelius
A reasonable price with a little left over, Ajani Cornelius in the Round 5 slot. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick223
Rnd7
CJ West
Good price on CJ West in slot 223, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick234
Rnd7
Logan Parr
Logan Parr at the 234th overall pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
