Draft Grade — Browns
Overall B+
ValueC+ NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureB-
Nobody dealt better than the Browns this weekend: B+.

Nobody had Donovan Smith this high, and it is not close. The Browns reached 70 spots to get him at pick 200.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Lachey at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick Analysis
Pick33 Rnd2 Mike Green
Mike Green at pick No. 33 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick67 Rnd3 Jaylin Noel
Jaylin Noel at the Round 3 slot is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick94 Rnd3 Charles Grant
Charles Grant at the 94th pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick104 Rnd4 Bhayshul Tuten
Bhayshul Tuten at the 104th overall pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick192 Rnd6 Howard Cross III
They reached a country mile for Howard Cross III at No. 192, and the board is aghast. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick200 Rnd6 Donovan Smith
Donovan Smith in Round 6, Pick 24 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick216 Rnd6 Luke Lachey
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Luke Lachey in slot 216. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick255 Rnd7 Kaden Prather
Kaden Prather in Round 7, Pick 39 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
