The Bills cashed the board's mistake on Jackson: F.

You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Bills did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high. About as rough as the board gets, and a F to prove it.

They will regret leaving linebacker for another day if the season turns on it. The Smith pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. That is a cornerback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

It is a win-now wager, and the future is the stake.

The verdict is harsh because the weekend was, and there is little to argue.
