The Kyle Hergel pick is the one that will follow the Bills into the fall. They took him 109 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so.

They will answer for taking OLB-EDGE early while interior defensive lineman, quarterback and other spots went begging. That Cowing pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.
