The Bills worked the phones like thieves and earned a B.

Whoever sat across the table from the Bills should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

With linebacker, edge rusher and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on OLB-EDGE is the choice that costs them. Van Pran has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

That linebacker hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
