The trade table was a mismatch, and the Lions were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value.

Every board in the league had Griffin lower, and that gap is the story. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. That is an interior defensive lineman worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
