The Steelers checked most of the boxes and earned a B-.

The curious call sets the tone. With safety, edge rusher and other spots still glaring, the Steelers used pick 119 on Roger Rosengarten, an offensive lineman they were not exactly short of.

For all the activity, safety went untouched, which is hard to explain. They will need Rosengarten to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes.

They chose more darts over a bigger single swing.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
