No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Steelers.

Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Steelers spent Round 7, Pick 25 on Jowon Briggs, a name most had 25 spots down the list.

Spending an early pick on offensive lineman with quarterback, safety and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it.

Johnson at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Interior defensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
