The Lions treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending the 164th overall pick on Joe Milton III a full 36 spots early.

They punted on cornerback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Landing Ulofoshio that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
