If you want a masterclass in dealing, watch the Steelers, who turned every swap into a profit this weekend. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

Getting Clark where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. If Powers-Johnson pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The Goncalves pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots still on the board.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
