The Bears cashed the board's mistake on Reed: C+.

When a board-topper like Jaylen Reed slides to Round 7, Pick 17, you do not overthink it, and the Bears did not. The final tally is a middling C+.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Call it incomplete, and check back in a couple of seasons.

You do not let a safety like Lathan Ransom reach the 149th pick and blink. They did not. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
