Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Seahawks spent slot 173 on Davin Vann, a name most had 91 spots down the list.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. They punted on linebacker, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Landing Reed that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

Trading back for volume was the quiet throughline of their weekend.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and linebacker is still a hole.
