The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Giants spent their marquee pick on Cam Ward, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is White III. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. The cost of the Skattebo reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

So much rides on Cam Ward that the real verdict is a season or two away.
