Nobody had Marcus Dumervil this high, and it is not close. The Falcons reached 80 spots to get him at pick No. 242. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

They banked enough surplus on Grant to cover a lot of smaller sins. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
