Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Bills: B.

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Bills reached some 132 spots for Barryn Sorrell, and value like that does not grow back.

On value alone, Wilson makes the weekend a net positive. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.

Linebacker is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Walter Nolen
In the Round 1 slot they get a pocket-collapsing interior rusher, and a steal at that. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick56 Rnd2 Matthew Golden
Matthew Golden slid further than he should have, and the 56th overall pick is lovely value for the wide receiver. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick62 Rnd2 Azareye'h Thomas
Azareye'h Thomas at slot 62 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick108 Rnd4 Kevin Winston Jr.
A tidy little value on Kevin Winston Jr. in the 108th pick, a step better than break-even. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick131 Rnd4 Jared Wilson
Jared Wilson at pick No. 131 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick171 Rnd5 Ty Robinson
Good price on Ty Robinson in No. 171, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick175 Rnd5 Ollie Gordon II
Fair-plus on Ollie Gordon II, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick179 Rnd6 Barryn Sorrell
They talked themselves into Barryn Sorrell at the 179th overall pick, and the board did not agree. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick206 Rnd6 CJ West
CJ West in No. 206 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick208 Rnd6 Jack Kiser
A quiet steal in slot 208: Jack Kiser for less than the market said. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
