Johnson should have been long gone. The Broncos pounced, and earned a B.

You build a draft on nights like this. Kaleb Johnson had no business being available in the 85th overall pick, and the Broncos did the only sane thing and turned in the card. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Job largely done: linebacker settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.

The back end got a real overhaul.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
