A sensible, unshowy class lands the Browns a B-.

Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Browns spent the Round 3 slot on Dillon Gabriel, a name most had 59 spots down the list. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

Williams at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. Job largely done: quarterback settled and 7 of 9 of the wish list covered.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
