A sensible, unshowy class lands the Panthers a B-.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Panthers did exactly that with MarShawn Lloyd in Round 3, Pick 1.

The Wilson pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They went 5 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

The skill positions did well by the weekend.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
