The Broncos worked the phones like thieves and earned a B.

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Broncos reached some 61 spots for Luke McCaffrey, and value like that does not grow back. The bottom line is a respectable B.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. That is an offensive lineman worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

The Broncos clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before. Linebacker is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
