The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Broncos reached some 34 spots for Tanner McLachlan, and value like that does not grow back. There is no dressing it up: a F.

Michael Penix Jr. gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. They will regret leaving linebacker for another day if the season turns on it.

The Laumea steal is the beam this whole class leans on. They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.

About as rough as a weekend gets on paper, with linebacker still staring back at them.
