A sensible, unshowy class lands the Broncos a B-.

Every other box got a look, but edge rusher did not. The Broncos will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

Heidenreich at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Every board in the league had McClellan lower, and that gap is the story. The roster is better shaped than it was, with linebacker chief among the fixes.

The skill positions did well by the weekend.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
