Draft Grade — Browns
Overall

FutureA+
Grand theft in Round 6, Pick 7: the Browns steal Cook and grade out a D+. Thirty-one other rooms let Brady Cook slide, and the Browns were the ones holding the card at the 182nd pick. Highway robbery.
They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Fairchild reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
Pick Analysis
Pick27
Rnd1
Isaiah Bond
In the 27th overall pick they get a go-to option on the outside, outstanding value to boot. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick28
Rnd1
Nic Scourton
In the 28th pick they get a double-digit-sack hope at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick30
Rnd1
Josh Conerly Jr.
In slot 30 they get a long-term starter on the line. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick36
Rnd2
Jalen Milroe
Nothing to complain about; Jalen Milroe went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick52
Rnd2
Ajani Cornelius
Ajani Cornelius is a better player than the Round 2 slot suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It fills a real need, too.
Pick56
Rnd2
Jonah Savaiinaea
No edge and no loss on Jonah Savaiinaea in No. 56; it is a wash and a sensible one. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick59
Rnd2
Dylan Fairchild
They went early on Dylan Fairchild in pick No. 59, and the value did not follow. The roster fit checks out.
Pick61
Rnd2
Donovan Jackson
Donovan Jackson at pick 61 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick62
Rnd2
Dylan Sampson
Dylan Sampson at pick 62 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick67
Rnd3
Kamari Ramsey
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Kamari Ramsey at pick No. 67. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick94
Rnd3
Jabbar Muhammad
Jabbar Muhammad at the 94th overall pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick110
Rnd4
Abdul Carter
A market-rate edge rusher, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Abdul Carter. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick122
Rnd4
Daylen Everette
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Daylen Everette in Round 4, Pick 21. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick149
Rnd5
Jamon Dumas-Johnson
No drama and no debate, Jamon Dumas-Johnson went about where he belonged in No. 149. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick182
Rnd6
Brady Cook
Brady Cook in the Round 6 slot is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick256
Rnd7
Jimmy Horn Jr.
They will replay Jimmy Horn Jr. at slot 256 for years; that is how good the value is. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
