Draft Grade — Browns

The Browns did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B-.

Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Browns never addressed quarterback, and it is the kind of gap that lingers. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

Worthy at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick55 Rnd2 Xavier Worthy
Value with a capital V on Xavier Worthy in No. 55, a genuine coup. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick86 Rnd3 Junior Colson
Fair-plus on Junior Colson, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick138 Rnd5 Cole Bishop
By-the-book stuff, Cole Bishop at the 138th pick squarely in line with his ranking. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick164 Rnd5 Austin Booker
No edge and no loss on Austin Booker in pick No. 164; it is a wash and a sensible one. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick204 Rnd6 Kimani Vidal
Kimani Vidal in Round 6, Pick 29 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It fills a real need, too.
Pick210 Rnd6 Jonah Monheim
They paid sticker price for Jonah Monheim in the Round 6 slot, and that is fine. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick231 Rnd7 Myles Jones
A clean, defensible pick in the 231st overall pick with a little surplus value in Myles Jones. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
