The Browns spent real capital to be 72 picks early on Seth McLaughlin, and the board is going to hold them to it. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D+.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. That Reed pick is the receipt they will wave around later. It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
