Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall

FutureB-
The Raiders finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a B-. This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Rylie Mills, the No. 137 name on the board, stolen at the 222nd pick.
They have staked the next five years on Cam Ward, which is the only story that really matters here. Skattebo has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick Analysis
Pick6
Rnd1
Cam Ward
In the 6th overall pick they get their quarterback of the future. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick37
Rnd2
Cam Skattebo
Cam Skattebo at slot 37 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. The roster fit checks out.
Pick68
Rnd3
Jaylin Noel
Jaylin Noel at No. 68 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick108
Rnd4
Savion Williams
A quiet steal in pick No. 108: Savion Williams for less than the market said. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick143
Rnd5
Lathan Ransom
Somehow Lathan Ransom was still sitting there in Round 5, Pick 5, and they pounced on premier safety value. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick180
Rnd6
Jeffrey Bassa
Steal is underselling it; Jeffrey Bassa at the Round 6 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick213
Rnd6
Sai'vion Jones
Circle this one: Sai'vion Jones at the 213th pick is a fall that decides a draft. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick215
Rnd6
Aeneas Peebles
They will replay Aeneas Peebles at pick 215 for years; that is how good the value is. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick222
Rnd7
Rylie Mills
The board fumbled Rylie Mills all the way to the 222nd overall pick, and they scooped it up. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
