Draft Grade — Browns
Overall D+
ValueB NeedB TradesF FutureA+
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Browns and Dart: D+.

You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Browns did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high. A D+ that will need time and luck to look better.

Landing Dart that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Browns clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.

Pick Analysis
Pick5 Rnd1 Kelvin Banks Jr.
In the 5th pick they get a long-term starter on the line at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick105 Rnd4 Jaxson Dart
Somehow Jaxson Dart was still sitting there in Round 4, Pick 4, and they pounced on premier quarterback value. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick110 Rnd4 TreVeyon Henderson
TreVeyon Henderson at the Round 4 slot is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick120 Rnd4 Tommi Hill
Taking Tommi Hill in pick No. 120 is close to grand larceny; a cornerback that good had no business lasting this long. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick149 Rnd5 Raheim Sanders
Circle this one: Raheim Sanders at the 149th overall pick is a fall that decides a draft. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick166 Rnd5 Julian Fleming
They robbed the room for Julian Fleming here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick199 Rnd6 Amari Kight
Amari Kight in pick 199 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. The roster fit checks out.
Pick239 Rnd7 Jason Henderson
Jason Henderson in the 239th overall pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
