The Browns spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Xavier Restrepo, the No. 49 name on the board, in slot 215.

They have staked the next five years on Cam Ward, which is the only story that really matters here. The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
