The Browns let Ransom fall into their laps, and walked away with a A. Somebody in the Round 6 slot was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Browns sat still while Lathan Ransom, the No. 110 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.
Reaching for Briningstool left real value on the table behind him. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.
Adding Tyler Smith by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies. Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Bottom line, with James Pearce Jr. leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
