Draft Grade — Browns
Overall D
ValueB NeedB+ TradesF FutureB-
A franchise passer in Milroe headlines a D weekend for the Browns.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Browns shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D is the result.

Jalen Milroe gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.

The Lee III pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and edge rusher is still a hole.

Pick Analysis
Pick32 Rnd1 Jalen Milroe
In slot 32 they get their guy under center for the next decade. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick37 Rnd2 Ashton Jeanty
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Ashton Jeanty in the 37th pick. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick38 Rnd2 Jonah Savaiinaea
A slide stopped in the 38th overall pick, with Jonah Savaiinaea worth more than the price. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick39 Rnd2 Walter Nolen
A market-rate interior defensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Walter Nolen. The roster fit checks out.
Pick103 Rnd4 J. Michael Sturdivant
The board had J. Michael Sturdivant higher than the Round 4 slot, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick177 Rnd6 Will Lee III
Somehow Will Lee III was still sitting there in pick 177, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
