The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Giants watched Danny Stutsman slide 69 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

They will need Pierce to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
