The board owed the Buccaneers one, and it paid up: Elic Ayomanor, the No. 57 name on the board, sitting there at pick 161 like a gift left on the doorstep. No fireworks, but a solid B+.

They punted on tight end, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same. The roster is better shaped than it was, with interior defensive lineman chief among the fixes.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
