You could see the war room lean forward. Raheim Sanders at Round 7, Pick 7 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

They are betting Caldwell proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. On the needs board they went 4 of 9, with interior defensive lineman the one that mattered most.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
