The Bills worked the phones like thieves and earned a B.

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Bills reached some 56 spots for Fabien Lovett, and value like that does not grow back.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. Landing Hadden that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. The Bills clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
