There is conviction, and then there is this. The Bills took Jordan Jefferson a full 24 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Grable. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped linebacker, which is a strange place to end up.

The trade work was a quiet net positive. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Good work on the whole, with linebacker the one box left unchecked.
