The 49ers found their guy under center in Ewers: A-.

The 49ers spent the pick that matters most on Quinn Ewers, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. They executed a plan and it shows in the A-.

Getting Burks where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck.

They will answer for taking cornerback early while interior defensive lineman went begging. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.

If Ferguson pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

In the end it comes back to Quinn Ewers, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
