There is conviction, and then there is this. The Falcons took Matthew Jones a full 30 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

The Bishop pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with interior defensive lineman, running back and other spots still on the board. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. That Trice pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
