The Bears finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a D.

Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Bears, and the value they bled adds up to real damage. Put together, it is a D.

They have staked the next five years on Caleb Williams, which is the only story that really matters here. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. The Williams value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, interior defensive lineman very much included.
