The Trajan Jeffcoat selection is the head-turner. The Bears reached 114 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. It grades a D-, and the process earned it.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. Whatever Caleb Williams becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up. The James value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, running back very much included.
