The board owed the Lions one, and it paid up: Upton Stout, the No. 179 name on the board, sitting there at pick No. 244 like a gift left on the doorstep.

If Baron pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
